Hilton Sydney Awarded Prestigious Gold Circle Award by Agoda.com


 
 

Following an outstanding award-winning year Hilton Sydney has been honoured with a prestigious “Gold Circle” award from Agoda.com – Asia’s leading hotel booking site and part of Nasdaq-listed Priceline Group (Nasdaq: PCLN). The award is recognition of hotels that lead by example in the competitive hospitality industry.

Hilton Sydney is an iconic hotel located in the heart of the city which has just undergone an A$7million refurbishment of the guest rooms and Executive Lounge. The hotel features 579 accommodation rooms and suites, 23 meeting rooms spanning 4,000m2 with unrivalled flexibility and unparalleled dining including Luke Mangan’s glass brasserie, internationally acclaimed Zeta Bar and the heritage listed Marble Bar.

The hotel has been successful throughout 2012 in winning a number of awards. Including eight awards at the Tourism Accommodation Australia (NSW) Awards for Excellence which included, “F&B function hotel of the year”, “Conference hotel of the Year”, “Restaurant of the Year” and “Chef of the Year”. This was followed by four awards at the Australian Hotels Association 2012 National Awards for Excellence including“Overall Hotel of the Year – Accommodation Division”.

Agoda.com awards are given to Agoda.com partners who are committed to accommodating the unique needs of the online booking industry, winners are judged on their outstanding performance, a high number of positive customer reviews, and their utilisation of Agoda.com’s custom-built “Yield Control System (YCS)”. In 2012, the bar had been raised higher and new judging criteria introduced to make the awards more exclusive.
Agoda.com now also takes into account a greater amount of data, including aggregate scores for customer reviews, top-performing properties, competitive pricing, and for showing an understanding of the complex business dynamics that define the industry.
