Cruise Critic Recognises Celebrity Cruises Across Two Continents


Celebrity Cruises’ modern, luxurious ships have been recognised among the best in the cruise industry by Cruise Critic US and UK in the 2015 Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Awards, winning the highest honour in 10 categories.

In the US, Celebrity’s stunning Celebrity Reflection received the coveted award of “Best Mediterranean Cruises” across all cruise ships, based on global ratings. A new honour for Celebrity this year is the award for “Best for Fitness” with Celebrity Equinox.

Across the Atlantic, UK guests deemed Celebrity as the best of all cruise lines in eight categories. For the third consecutive year, Celebrity Eclipse was honoured with “Best from UK”, as well as “Best Cabins,” “Best for Fitness,” and “Best for Shore Excursions.” The exceptional accolades have been awarded in advance ofCelebrity Eclipse receiving luxurious enhancements, including new Suite Class restaurant Luminae, prior to returning to Southampton in May.

Celebrity Equinox also was recognised in the UK, for “Best Overall,” “Best Dining,” and “Best for Public Rooms.” Celebrity Silhouette was awarded the top honour as “Best for Value.”

The annual Cruise Critic Cruisers’ Choice Awards are based on member reviews submitted by cruisers for cruises taken during 2014 and are given in three ship classes, according to passenger capacity – small (1,199 passengers or fewer), mid-sized (1,200 to 1,999) and large (2,000+). The top ships in each class are named in the following categories: Overall, Cabins, Dining, Embarkation, Entertainment, Fitness, Public Rooms, Service, Shore Excursions and Value-for-Money. Awards are also given to the top-ranked ships in popular cruise destinations; Alaska, Bahamas, Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
