The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Thai Airways International (THAI) jointly hosted a Partner Appreciation event in Sydney last week at the Establishment attended by over 150 agents, wholesalers, hoteliers and media guests.
Guests were treated to Thai hospitality including head and shoulder massages, Asian inspired morsels and a number of exuberant and colourful performances by the Thai Classical dance group, culminating with guests joining in a group dance towards the end of the night.
The relaxed cocktail evening was held to say a special thank you to the industry for their ongoing support of Thailand throughout a challenging period and to invite them to renew their love of Thailand.
It also saw the launch of the Discover Thainess campaign for 2015, which aims to emphasise the priceless treasures of the kingdom – its people, culture and society through the seven feelings of the Thai Way which include fun, harmonious, prestige, peace, energetic, creative and wisdom.
TAT revealed the 12 secondary or unique provincial destinations not to be missed when visiting Thailand.
TAT will also focus on attracting high end and repeat tourists by promoting a number of niche areas in 2015 including Medical Tourism, Health and Wellness, Ecotourism, Weddings and Honeymoons and Golf.
There were numerous prizes won on the evening including two economy return air tickets to Thailand with THAI plus multiple hotel accommodation prizes supplied by a variety of hotels across the country.
