Qantas will resume some of its international flights after receiving CASA approval.
The carrier tweeted that it was “back in the air” but passengers should expect delays.
Flights will kick off with services between Sydney and Jakarta as well as Melbourne to Sydney.
The carrier is also looking to round up passengers flying from LA to take-off a return service to Sydney.
“Attn pax in L.A.: QF94 to MEL and QF108 to SYD are operating tonight. We’re trying to reach pax now to advise them to be at LAX by 11pm PT,” the tweet read.
Qantas said it expects operations to resume back to normal within 24 to 48 hours.
The news comes hours after the carrier’s chief executive Alan Joyce announced industrial action was over and the airline was keen to resume negotations with union.
