First Winners of AIBTM’s U2 Ticket Exhibitor Sweeps Announced

AIBTM announces several winners from the first two rounds of the U2 Ticket exhibitor sweeps. They are Atlantis, Paradise Island, Bahamas, Canadian Tourism Commission, Condor Travel, and Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, which won during the first draw on March 4th. These lucky winners are joined by: Freeman; Peppermill Reno; Saratoga Convention and Tourism Bureau; Scandinavian Pavilion; Unique Vacations for Sandals & Beaches Resorts; IHG – InterContinental Hotels Group; and Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau, which won on March 18th.  All 45 winners will come together to experience this live concert. A total of 510 tickets in total will be distributed to AIBTM’s exhibitors through the Exhibitor Sweeps.

With more than 1,000 tickets up for grabs, nine exhibitors will be selected at random by an official third-party organisation every two weeks.  The winners will see rock n’ roll band U2, and special guests, Florence and The Machine, at the M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, on 22nd June as part of the band’s global 360° Tour. The U2 360° Tour is an ongoing worldwide concert tour launched in support of the group’s 2009 album No Line on the Horizon. The Tour is named after the 360-degree staging and audience configuration it uses for shows which U2 claims is "the first time a band has toured in stadiums with such a unique and original structure.”

The draws are held every other Friday up to 29th April. In order for exhibitors to qualify, they must have their contracts signed and returned by 12:00 p.m. EST on the Wednesday prior to each draw.

“This live gig by one of the world’s greatest rock bands is a pretty unique way for exhibitors to entertain customers and prospects, as this is one of the exhibition world’s greatest networking events!”, says AIBTM Project Director, Steve Knight.

The next draw takes place on 1st April. Exhibitors that wish to be entered into the sweeps must ensure they return their contracts in plenty of time to not miss this opportunity.
