Delegates from around the world attending AEROMEET with Tourism Malaysia, fell head over heels for Malaysia’s most popular island destination.
International agents and media were treated to a range of island activities, surreal sights and cultural cuisine while touring the island on conference.
On chartered boat excursions, AEROMEET 2013 participants explored darkened bat caves, visited hunting grounds of local sea eagles, swam in the Pulau Dayang Bunting freshwater lake and enjoyed a picnic lunch by the beach at Pulau Beras Basah in Kilim Geopark.
Langkawi Craft Complex hosted delegates for a welcome lunch and encouraged all guests to participate in a traditional Batik painting session, unleashing hidden talents.
AEROMEET participants were also wowed by the spectacular, high-altitude views from the top station of the Langkawi Skycab.
At lunch and in the evenings, local meals were carefully prepared and served, showcasing the island’s delicate flavours and rich cultural heritage.
Langkawi continues to surprise every visitor that visits its shores and is a true representation of the relaxed Malaysian lifestyle.
