Disneyland Resort Anaheim makes renovations to hotel and attractions

Disneyland Resort in Anaheim is planning a renovation of its hotel, with a new pool area, a re-theme of its three guest room towers and new dining locations set to take place.

In addition to this, with the launch of the new Disney Pixar movie Toy Story 3, a new set of attractions are set to be added to the Disney California Adventure.

“These exciting enhancements, along with our current Disneyland Hotel renovation and the expansion of Disney’s California Adventure, underscore our ongoing investment in the Disneyland Resort and the Anaheim Resort District,” said George A. Kalogridis, Disneyland Resort President.

“We are proud to collaborate with city and businesses leaders as we continue to evolve the area into a world-class, multiday tourist destination.”

Some of the biggest changes will be to the Resort’s pool area, with plans for the water attraction to see the park signage of “Disneyland” spelled out in blocks on top of a platform which will also include two waterslides.  Also a new 4-foot-deep pool will be built between the existing Never Land pool and the new water play area

The current guest towers will also be re-themed, The Dreams Tower will turn into the Adventure Tower, while the Wonder Tower will be re-themed into the Frontier Tower.  The still unfinished Magic Tower will be completed in 2012 and turned into the Fantasy Tower.

With the launch of Toy Story 3, Disney’s California Adventure and Disney’s Hollywood Studios will both see a brand new 4D interactive Toy Story Mania attraction.
