A fatal accident that occurred last week has prompted Princess Cruises to suspend a popular shore excursion in the British Virgin Islands.
Last Tuesday, a tour bus in Tortola was carrying 20 passengers from the Caribbean Princess on a “Tropical Forest Hike and Beach" excursion when it left the road and rolled over.
USA Today reported one 24-year-old male passenger, Aaron Rumphrey, from Honeoye, New York who was on the tour with his parents was killed while several others were injured.
Princess Cruises said the injured passengers were taken to a local hospital where they were evaluated and released.
The driver was taken into custody and charged with causing death through dangerous driving, authorities said.
