Seema Roy has been elevated to Area Managing Director, South Asia, Middle East & Africa; C.S “Ram” Ramachandran has been promoted to Vice President, Revenue Account Management for South Asia, Middle East, Africa & Australasia; and Gaurav Sindhwani will take on a new role as Director, Global Sales & Development, South Asia.

As Area Managing Director, Seema Roy will drive retention and development efforts of the brand’s growing portfolio in South Asia, Middle East & Africa, supported by the company’s regional offices in New Delhi, Dubai and Cape Town. Since joining Preferred Hotels & Resorts in 2010, Ms. Roy has played a key role in successfully amplifying brand awareness of Preferred Hotels & Resorts in the region. She most recently served as Director of Marketing for Asia Pacific, a role in which she was responsible for developing and executing the company’s marketing, advertising, loyalty program, regional alliance, and partnership efforts in the region, providing strategic consultation and support to more than 150 hotel members, Previously, Ms Roy held various positions with Intercontinental, The Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, and The Imperial New Delhi in India.
In his new position as Vice President of Revenue Account Management for South Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Australasia, C.S “Ram” Ramachandran x will lead the regional revenue management team to drive strategic success for the brand, and continue to assist member hotels in maximizing the effectiveness of their online distribution channels and revenue optimization. Mr. Ramachandran joined Preferred Hotels & Resorts in June 2013 as Director Revenue Account Management for India, Middle East and Africa, bringing more than 20 years of rich expertise in hotel management including key interests in business analytics, business strategy, distribution, online marketing, sales, and customer relationship management. Prior to joining Preferred Hotels & Resorts, he served as Assistant Vice President of E-Marketing for The Oberoi Group, and was responsible for the group’s digital marketing strategy with a focus on maximizing e-commerce revenues.
As Director of Global Sales & Development for South Asia, Gaurav Sindhwani will continue to drive the company’s efforts in corporate, MICE, and leisure sales, and also take on additional responsibilities of overseeing the development and retention of the brand’s portfolio across the region. Mr. Sindhwani brings more than 20 years of experience working in India’s hospitality industry prior to this role, specializing in sales and marketing, as well as hotel operations. Prior to joining Preferred Hotels & Resorts in May 2015 as Director Global Sales for India, he served as Director of Sales & Marketing for The Imperial New Delhi, a member of the Preferred Hotels & Resorts Legend Collection. Mr. Sindhwani spent his early career in both hotel-specific and national sales roles with The Leela Palace New Delhi, Jones Lang Lasalle, The Oberoi Group, and The Nikko Hotels.
