Virgin Galactic has this week added 18 more agents, again from the Virtuoso chain, into its network of travel agents around the world capable of selling its space travel product.
Virgin Galactic’s new ‘Accredited Space Agents’ (ASAs), including Ezana Araya of Andavo Travel, sees agencies in Denver Colorado, San Francisco California and Salt Lake City Utah joining the existing 56 ASAs.
“Since selecting Virtuoso as our exclusive retail network, we have developed a fantastic relationship with their ASA members, and we are delighted with how they’re performing,” said Carolyn Wincer, Virgin Galactic Head of Astronaut Sales.
Matthew Upchurch, Virtuoso CEO, adds, “We are proud of Ezana and the 18 individuals who have been selected as Virgin Galactic’s newest ‘Accredited Space Agents.’ The fact that the ASA Program continues to expand shows the interest and excitement for space travel.”
This recent announcement comes as Virgin Galactic unveils its SpaceShipTwo and takes one step closer to its first commercial passenger flight.
Tickets for Virgin Galactic experiences are priced at US$200,000 per person.
