Shane Owens presented with independent artist of the year award
Amerimonte Records recording artist Shane Owens was presented the Independent Artist of the Year Award at MusicRow Magazine’s 16th Annual “Country Radio Meet & Greet” and “CountryBreakout Awards” which were held at the Listening Room in Nashville on Monday, February 5. Last year’s winner of the Independent Artist of the Year was Aaron Watson. Awards are based on spins the artists get on the magazine’s panel of reporting stations which is widely regarded in the country industry as the one to watch for breaking new artists and records. The reporting stations are heavily weighted toward secondary markets — friendlier to independent artists.
“I’m humbled as well as forever grateful and honored to receive the Independent Artist of the Year Award. It is quite an honor to receive this award from MusicRow. What a great way to kick off 2018,” says Shane Owens, adding, “I would like to give special thanks to country radio and MusicRow Magazine for all your support and undying dedication. We look forward to sharing new music here very soon.”
