NEW for 2018! Keele River by Canoe
Adventure Canada is delighted to announce the launch of a brand-new expedition for 2018: Keele River by Canoe. Set against the rugged backdrop of the Northwest Territories, the Keele River offers an iconic Canadian wilderness canoeing experience through the rugged Mackenzie Mountains with inviting vistas on every curve.
Turquoise waters flow from high in the divide between the Yukon and Northwest Territories through towering mountain scenery, and although fast and boisterous, the Keele River has ample room to find a smooth path—making it an excellent adventure for paddlers with limited experience and seasoned canoeists alike.
Starting and ending in Norman Wells, the fifteen-day itinerary includes wilderness campsites, superb fishing opportunities, excellent meals prepared at camp, services of expert guides, and excellent hikes, all within small group sizes—and no portaging required! While taking in the vast surroundings en route, travellers will have the chance to sight caribou, moose, eagles, grizzly and black bears, and Dahl sheep.
“At Adventure Canada, we’re always concerned with looking backward as much as we look forward, and carrying a reverence for tradition into the new ways we explore our great country and beyond,” says says Cedar Swan, Adventure Canada CEO. “With that in mind, we’re proud to present this brand-new expedition for 2018, exploring Canada by one of the vessels that has shaped our nation’s history.”
Keele River by Canoe runs July 12 – 26, 2018.
