The readers of Condé Nast Traveler have once again voted Crystal Cruises as the “World’s Best” medium sized cruise line (501-2,499 guests), marking the record-making 24th year the luxury line has earned top honours. The publication’s 2017 Readers’ Choice Awards included input from more than 300,000 readers, who cast votes for more than 7,000+ hotels, 500 cruise ships, 600+ cities and 200+ islands, resulting in a preeminent list of more than 1,400 of the world’s best travel experiences.

“The annual ‘Readers’ Choice Awards’ represent the best of the best in travel, and we are proud to accept this honour again from the readers of Condé Nast Traveler,” says Crystal’s president and CEO, Tom Wolber. “Crystal has taken the feedback and input from luxury world travellers to heart since our inception, and to earn such high praise is proof that our commitment to exceed the expectations of our guests continues to resonate with them.”

“Being voted ‘World’s Best’ medium sized cruise line by the very well-travelled readers of US Condé Nast Traveler year on year for 24 years is a real achievement.” says  Karen Christensen, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Australia & New Zealand. “It is testament to the superior service provided by the dedicated onboard team and the ever-evolving Crystal Experience.”

Crystal’s score of 92.20 topped the list of 12 finalist cruise lines in its category, with criteria voted on including accommodations, service, dining, activities, design and value. Crystal’s acclaimed ocean ships, Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity, continue to be the standard bearers in luxury ocean travel, both featuring elegantly styled and spacious public areas, posh lounges and theaters, luxuriously appointed guest suites (most with private verandahs), and culinary experiences that include modern gastronomy and signature cuisine from Master Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. As Crystal continues to evolve and maintain its cutting-edge luxury offerings, both ships will undergo their most extensive dry dock redesigns in their respective history – Crystal Symphony’s currently underway and Crystal Serenity’s set for the northern hemisphere autumn of 2018.

Crystal’s pattern of innovation took another leap in 2015, when the company embarked on the most ambitious brand expansion in luxury travel history. The company’s growing portfolio now comprises Crystal Cruises, Crystal River Cruises, Crystal Yacht Expedition Cruises, Crystal Luxury Air and Crystal AirCruises, with new vessels set to launch over the next five years.

Throughout the venture, Crystal maintains its stated dedication to offering the very best level of personalised service and attention to each luxurious detail across all of its brands, with the company’s acclaimed butler service offered with nearly all experiences. Along with adventures and more choices available to guests seeking to customise their luxury holidays, Crystal’s service, space and amenities have shaped the company’s credo over the decades.
