Meliá Hotels & Resorts expands in the Americas

Leading hospitality brand, Meliá Hotels & Resorts (MH&R) – internationally recognized for facilitating authentic, local stays paired with refined sensibility for service – recently announced its expansion in the Americas region with two new hotel openings.

As part of an ongoing effort to expand its presence in the Americas region, Meliá Hotel & Resorts will debut Meliá Braco Village in Rio Bueno, Jamaica in December 2015 and Meliá Costa Hollywood in Hollywood, Florida in early 2016.

These additions complement existing MH&R properties in the U.S., Caribbean, and Latin America, including: Meliá Nassau Beach (Bahamas), Meliá Orlando Suite Hotel at Celebration, Meliá Caribe Tropical (Punta Cana), Meliá Recoleta Plaza Boutique (Buenos Aires), Meliá Buenos Aires, Meliá Panama Canal Hotel, and Meliá Lima.

“Meliá Hotels & Resorts is a beloved brand around the world, and one that people in the Americas have experienced for many years during their travels,” said Tony Cortizas, Vice President of Global Brand Strategy for Meliá Hotels International.

“Growing our footprint in the Americas region now means that these same guests can enjoy the experiences they’ve come to love at Meliá properties around the world, but now much closer to home. The response to date has been overwhelming, as evidenced by our continued growth and expansion.”

With each opening, Meliá Hotels & Resorts continues to infuse its eight, award-winning brand attributes across the region, designed to not only meet, but also exceed the expectations of business and leisure travelers:

  • Passion for Service
  • The Level
  • Gastronomy & Culinary Experiences
  • Spa & Wellness
  • Energy for Life Activities
  • Romance by Meliá
  • Power Meetings
  • Kids & Co Program
