The chance to win a free seat on a familiarization trip aside, travel agents can leverage G Adventures’ popular ‘You’ll Never Forget’ campaign with their travelers, the company’s marketing manager says.
The global campaign to inspire experiential, interactive and authentic travel away from “all-inclusive resorts and big bus tours” began with a contest to people G Adventures’ 2013 brochures with real travelers and earned the company 90,000 new Facebook fans and 51,000 views of eight videos on the campaign’s website.
According to G Adventures’ US marketing manager Steve Lima, travel agents can use the momentum of the campaign and “leverage the ‘You’ll Never Forget It’ movement with their travelers”.
A webinar on this very topic, including a profile of the G Adventures traveler, drew the travel adventure company’s largest webinar audience to date.
Agents weren’t forgotten either, the webinar ending with a call to agents to submit their own life-changing travel experience in a photo and caption or in a story 200 words or less for a chance to win a free seat on an upcoming G Adventures’ familiarization trip.
Attending travel agents can also add additional entries for every G Adventures booking they make between 16 February 2012 and 26 March 2012.
