May 2011 saw an all-time monthly record 24,994 aircraft movements at Singapore Changi Airport, with 3.77 million passengers moving through the Asian hub.
Registering the highest year-on-year increases in traffic were the South East Asian and South West Pacific regions, which recorded 17.7 per cent and 14.4 per cent passenger growth respectively.
Despite a decline in traffic of 11.4 per cent between Singapore and Tokyo, North East Asia also recorded solid growth through the airport, with a 6.8 per cent year-on-year rise in traffic reported.
Additionally, full service carriers grew by 7.3 per cent, with the airport welcoming new daily flights by Finnair and Garuda Indonesia.
Meanwhile, last month also saw the opening of 25 new retail outlets at Changi.
