Air stewards aboard a Virgin Atlantic flight to Glasgow are in hot water following a mishap which saw an abusive phrase flash up on the television screens of the flight’s premium economy passengers.
The offensive language, which is thought to have read ‘Get up, you c***s’ had been intended for two stewards having a nap in empty seats.
But according to the Scottish Sun, the message was accidentally broadcast to the whole cabin.
“They complained the whole way home and some are seeking refunds and compensation,” an insider said.
According to the insider, the two crew members responsible for the message will be sacked, as well as the flight manager who had told the stewards to rest in the seats.
The incident is currently under investigation, with a Virgin Atlantic spokesperson saying the matter was being taken “extremely seriously”, the newspaper reported.
